We Go Live April 1st ~ No Joke!

4 Scrappy Sisters is coming!
Well, if you have been wondering what has become of me or how come the blog is never updated - I guess you could say I've been working hard on making one of my dreams come true...

As many of you already know, I love {LOVE} scrapbooking, but what you may not have been aware of is - so do my sisters - mainly Tracy, Kristin and I. Many times we have tossed around the idea of opening our own retail store, but ended with, "wow, that really takes a lot of money!" Well, about a month ago, maybe more, us girls got together and decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it. Now we didn't go with a "brick and mortar" style store but chose to take advantage of this magnificent thing they call the world wide web.

Yes that's right, starting April 1st we will open "4 Scrappy Sisters" online monthly scrapbook kit club along with a mini on-line store. This is a no obligation kit club. That means you can choose the kits you want and skip the ones you don't - no hassle. Along with the full monthly kit, we will offer a "paper only" kit and an "extras" kit. Plus there will be a small store {which may grow into a really big store if I don't control my spending} :-o

Please feel free to drop by http://www.4scrappysiters.com/ before April 1st, the site is pretty much really to roll - I'm just waiting on 2 more goodies to arrive for the April kit. And please tell a friend - that's the only way this dream is ever going to truly become a reality for us.

Thanks!

Have A Sketch - Anyone Interested?

Well, I've been a bit behind the 8 ball lately...life has a way of jumping in sometimes and taking over! Ugh...

This is the first week in which 3 of my 4 boys start baseball. It's only Wednesday, but we have been gone to some field or another every night. Sometimes even splitting up to be in two places at the same time! I'm still not real sure why we signed all 3 up this year -
::note to self, think things through before signing on the dotted line::

I do have a sketch for anyone who is interested. Circles are a really big trend in the industry today so here is my sketch using "circles". It is shown in 8.5x11 form but can be easily transformed to a 12x12 layout.

Let me know how yours turns out. Until next time...keep a smile on your face and your eyes pointed upward!

When All Else Fails ~ Scrap!

When trying to recover from a nasty cold - the perfect remedy is: two cold tablets, plenty of fluids and lots of rest; per the doctor. According to my remedy book, if all that fails to cure your weary soul ~ scrap, and then scrap some more! Well, this is exactly what I did yesterday afternoon. I had had it with laying around, so I headed over to my small slice of Heaven and began to create. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm still fighting a nasty cough - but man! my spirits have been lifted.

I used a wonderful sketch from the January 2007 issue of Scrapbooks Etc., page 82. Take a peek at my version of the sketch...

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you're looking for the fun
St. Patrick's Day quiz, it's in the post below this. Chat with ya later.

Wow! Time Zippes By

Please forgive me, I've been such a slacker when it comes to updating my blog this week! It seems I have acquired a nasty chest cold and I'm currently engaged in a desperate fight to win this battle over illness. I actually came home early from work and slept much of the day away - what a waste of a beautiful, sunny, 82 degree day - but the rest has helped, somewhat.

Let's see what has been going on around here beside this nasty virus...baseball, homework, projects, vet visits, doctor visits...man my life is really dull :-} I was able to complete my "13 Things To Do" list from last week, I guess that's something to brag about. I have also just finished my desings for April's kit at Crop Addict. I wish I could share, but not for another week.

Well, this weekend we celebrate
St. Patrick's Day so, I thought it might be fun to test your knowledge of this festive holiday. Click on the friendly little leprechaun to the left and he will take you straight to the "Pot O Gold"...well maybe not gold - the quiz. Once there, you simply answer the questions by clicking on the drop down box by each. If you get the answer correct on the first try you get a point - points are tallied at the top.

Not to intimidate anyone, but it just so happens that I got 14 questions right! Okay, 14 out 30 really stinks! So you think you can do better...give it a whorl and let me know what you get. Come on - try it - it's both fun and educational, and who doesn't love that combination!

What I've Accomplished So Far...

Well, it's Sunday afternoon - and I've successfully completed several items on my "Things I Need To Complete This Weekend" list.

We got a new mailbox, complete with fancy numbers. We even decided to paint the post. Wow - maybe now it won't be so bad to get those pesky bills...never mind, all the paint in the world can't make that an enjoyable experience :-)

Let's see, I've also cleaned the upstairs bathrooms - sorry no pictures, you'll just have to take my word for it - done 2 layouts, taken the boys back and forth to baseball, played outside much of the day yesterday and successfully turned my clock ahead one hour. Not to shabby if I say so myself.

Better get off this computer if I intend to complete my list! I'll let ya know more tomorrow...

13 Things I Need To Get Done...

This is the question posed by a friend of mine over at Crop Addict. She suggested that we update our blog today with a list of "13 Things I Need To Get Done This Weekend". I'm not really sure where or why she chose the number 13 - seems a bit unlucky if you ask me, but oh well here goes nothing....

13 Things I Need To Get Done This Weekend (March 10-11)

  1. Get Jacob to and from his baseball game
  2. Take Adam to AAU practice
  3. Rent a movie and video game
  4. Attend Church
  5. Scrap at least one layout
  6. Catch up on sleep (it's a joke I know but a girl can dream right?)
  7. Change my clocks to Daylight Savings (Praise the Lord!)
  8. Take more photos
  9. Get outside with boys
  10. Balance checkbook (that will ruin the weekend)
  11. Get a new mailbox
  12. Clean upstairs bathrooms
  13. Count my many Blessings :-)

Well, it looks like there is little rest for the weary soul. I guess there's always next weekend!

# A Sketch From Me To You #

After a very busy weekend, I've been spending my afternoon catchin' up on blog reading - love to do this. I have seen several great blogs with really cool new sketches. Who doesn't LOVE a good sketch, or two, or ten! Thanks for the inspiration ladies!

I have just recently started creating sketches myself and would love to share a few with you all. I hope they inspire you to pick out some photos, grab the scissors and tape and start creating!

Thanks for looking!

* What A Weekend *

Okay, I think I need a weekend to recover from my weekend - Ughh. We started Jacob's High School baseball season Saturday 12pm - 3pm. It was warm - around 65 degrees, that was a blessing but the winds were 25 - 30 mph which didn't make for a fun time at all. He did well though and can't wait to hit the field again!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can now cross number 37 off of my list of things to do before I die. This Sunday morning we had a professional praise band "Frontline" visit our church (professional meaning: they have a recording contract and posters and travel) and they asked me to sing with them! I was like a kid on Christmas morning, jumping around and smiling ear to ear. Singing and Praising the Lord - wow it doesn't get much better than that, at least for me anyways! Thank you so much guys, we've gotta get together and do that again real soon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And in my spare time this weekend :-) I could be found at
Crop Addict celebrating our 1 Year Anniversary. We had so much fun - scrappin, chattin' and playin' games. I made so many new friends and learned a lot about scrapping under pressure. If you happened to have missed out, don't fear - just drop on by the message board and gallery for a quick look at all the new eye candy!
