Music and Apparel

1st - Apparel:

After an insane trip to Wal-mart this morning, I was so glad to get home. And what to my surprise - a package from my friendly little "man in brown". So I did as any girl would do, TORE it open. It was filled with our newly designed 4 Scrappy Sisters t-shirts! I think they turned out great. They come in both white and grey, sizes M-XL and will be available for purchase in the 4SS store later this week. Now you can show your scrappin' spirit all over town!

2nd - Music:

While visiting my neighborhood Wal-mart today, I picked up the new "Lifehouse" CD, Who We Are. Can I just say AMAZING! I have listen to it 3 times already in its entirety, and think I love them even more each time through.

I had never heard of them until a few weeks ago. They were the featured band on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and it was truly love at first listen!

The retreat will be held in Charlottesville and has a projected 50-60 scrappers coming! What an amazing opportunity this will be to get our business name out there in the public eye.

INSANE I TELL YA - Just INSANE!!

Last night was Jacob's first High School football game of the 07-08 season. I was so excited, but just not expecting so much "excitement" in the 1st game! We were playing against last years #1 team; therefore, creating its own drama.

Jacob took the field this year as a starter, meaning he'd see 90% of the action. He was on fire --
(He's #15) make a killer sack,

caught a 20 yard pass,

constantly motivated team members,

aided the injured,

and became a victim of the "Walking Wounded".
.
Yep that's right, we spent most of the night in the hospital!! We had thought he dislocated his right shoulder, but it turns out that it's just a sever stain. He's now in a sling and hopped up on Tylenol #3 + Naprosyn - life is good now! He'll now be taking a few days off for recovery, then on Monday start physical therapy and will hopefully be released for play by Wednesday.

One game down, 10 more to go. Insane I tell ya - just INSANE!

Here We Go Again!!

Yep - it's time to start a whole new school year!! Take a look at my gang as they head out...

Top Row: Jacob - 10th grade, Adam - 8th grade,
Bottom Row: Ethan - 3rd grade, Matthew - 1st grade.

Ha Ha Ha!

My husband never ceases to amaze me, and not always for the good might I say :-)

Just the other night the two of us happened to be working in the office at the same time, when I asked him if he would take a moment to check out the 4 Scrappy Sisters website and let me know what he thinks. There was a long period of silence and then I heard, "so these sketch thingies - who made those?" With a wee bit of disgust in my voice I said, "I did! and it took me a long time to do them so be kind." "Really" he said, "what program did you use?" "My Microsoft Picture It program, why?" "I bet I could do this in 10 minutes using the Microsoft Paint program."

Well ladies if you know me you'd know that I'm not at all the beating type - but this was too good to let slip by. "Okay you're on" I said, "it's 8:57 p.m. - go!" I left the room and went about watching some Law and Order. At 9:35 he comes in the family room and stands in the doorway, looks at me, and says, "it's done and forwarded to your PC." I jumped up - very eager to see his creation - but not before taking a moment to rub in the fact that it took 37 minutes to complete the project - not 10!!

When I arrived at my PC this is what I was greeted with...

We Go Live April 1st ~ No Joke!

4 Scrappy Sisters is coming!

Well, if you have been wondering what has become of me or how come the blog is never updated - I guess you could say I've been working hard on making one of my dreams come true...

As many of you already know, I love {LOVE} scrapbooking, but what you may not have been aware of is - so do my sisters - mainly Tracy, Kristin and I. Many times we have tossed around the idea of opening our own retail store, but ended with, "wow, that really takes a lot of money!" Well, about a month ago, maybe more, us girls got together and decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it. Now we didn't go with a "brick and mortar" style store but chose to take advantage of this magnificent thing they call the world wide web.

Yes that's right, starting April 1st we will open "4 Scrappy Sisters" online monthly scrapbook kit club along with a mini on-line store. This is a no obligation kit club. That means you can choose the kits you want and skip the ones you don't - no hassle. Along with the full monthly kit, we will offer a "paper only" kit and an "extras" kit. Plus there will be a small store {which may grow into a really big store if I don't control my spending} :-o

Please feel free to drop by http://www.4scrappysiters.com/ before April 1st, the site is pretty much really to roll - I'm just waiting on 2 more goodies to arrive for the April kit. And please tell a friend - that's the only way this dream is ever going to truly become a reality for us.

Thanks!
